ABOUT
ADRIAN TEAL is an internationally renowned caricaturist, cartoonist, illustrator and writer. He is currently designing caricature puppets for the return of the hugely popular hit 1980s/ 1990s satirical TV show, Spitting Image. He was also head of 3D celebrity caricature design on the award-winning ITV show Big Heads. He has been a caricature consultant for Framestore and BBC2; and he has produced a cover and written/illustrated historical spreads for the BBC’s QI books. He has illustrated for QI merchandise and marketing material as well as for the TV show itself. His freelance illustration clients have included the band Madness, Mercedes Benz, UBS, the comedy club Jongleurs, and Anglia TV. He has produced illustrations and political cartoons for national and international publications such as The Sunday Telegraph, Penthouse, The Scotsman, The Times, The Guardian, Time Out, The Sun, and The Daily Mail.

COMMISSIONS
I produce caricatures of celebrities, movie stars, musicians, and public figures. I’m not currently taking commissions of private individuals. I offer a wide range of work, from simple black and white drawings, beginning at A5 size (approximately 6 x 8 inches) and going up to A3 (approx. 12 x 16 inches); to full-blown, full-colour paintings on canvas or board, beginning around 12 x 16 inches, and going up to whatever size is required. But drawings can be in colour, and paintings can be in monochrome, to suit your tastes. I work with clients as much as possible to give them a collaborative experience.
Please note that I price each piece on its individual requirements. As a very rough rule of thumb, drawings are in the £100 - £400 range, and paintings are in the £400 - £2,000 range, depending on the degree of detail, the content, size, etc. If more than one person is to be caricatured, I will price accordingly, depending also upon what you'd like from a detail/background point of view. Any painting larger than 2 x 3 feet will fall beyond the £2,000 quoted above. And I always produce preliminary drawings for approval before I move on to a final piece.
